In iPadOS 18 if you toggle “Use Large App Icons” in Settings->Home Screen & App Library the large icons appear with the app’s name beneath.

If you toggle icons to “Large” in “wiggle mode”->Edit->Customize, the large icons appear without the app’s name beneath.
